The Wolfin system, available from Projex Group was specified by the architects working on the renovation of Elizabeth Bay House, a Historic Houses Trust listed property in Sydney.
Located in Elizabeth Bay, Sydney, the building was commissioned by the Colonial Secretary Alexander Macleay and designed in the 1830s by the very fashionable architect of the time, John Verge. The construction was completed in 1839.
Following its listing by the Historic Houses Trust, the house has been largely restored. The renovations required the ground floor bathrooms to be waterproofed. With the Trust insisting on a system that would not need to be replaced for a long time, the architects were particular about specifying the Wolfin system.
The Wolfin system has been used on many historic buildings of Sydney including NSW Parliament House, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Government House and the Sydney Town Hall.
The Elizabeth Bay House project was carried out using the Wolfin GWSK system, complete with stainless steel profiles (due to the close proximity of the salt water of Sydney Harbour) and was installed by experienced Wolfin applicators, BD Remedial Builders.
Upon completion, the waterproofing work was inspected by Wolfin Membranes Australia who issued a single-point labour and materials warranty.
