Philips Dynalite  has launched the first user interface panel in its Antumbra range of networked control systems.

Aimed at the residential, hospitality and commercial market segments, the state-of-the-art Antumbra user interface panel can be custom configured to feature different button combinations and perform a vast range of functions from simple local lighting control to driving site-wide networked devices such as blinds and HVAC systems.

Philips Dynalite Global Product Manager, Daniel Walker explains that the Antumbra has been designed to surpass modern requirements and expectations in both form and functionality, resulting in a truly unique and aesthetically pleasing user interface, which can control a wide range of networked devices, all at a very competitive price point.

Utilising the latest in field effect technology, when a user approaches the device, the panel will light up resulting in a wall wash effect, and welcoming the user to interact with the device. When the user moves away all the wall wash effect and indicating lighting will fade away, allowing the panel to merge into the wall architecture.

Philips Dynalite took a collaborative approach in Antumbra’s development, consulting widely with Philips global design teams as well as customers and the channel network to set the standard from a design as well as an engineering perspective. Antumbra is now acknowledged as a new benchmark in user interface design for Philips Dynalite control systems.

Key features of Antumbra user interface panels:

  • Contemporary design incorporates multiple hidden sensory inputs to automatically control the local environment
  • Built-in temperature sensor automatically measures the local area and adjusts air conditioning when integrated into the network system
  • Available in a range of button and rim finishes including white, silver, magnesium and chrome to fit any décor and design
Philips Dynalite plans to add two user interface panels incorporating a touch-sensitive screen and a graphical display to the Antumbra range later in 2013.

Antumbra is available from accredited Philips Dynalite resellers only.
