Coloured glazed bricks from PGH Bricks & Pavers were installed in an innovative application, helping meet the client’s design expectations.

The owner of an under-construction four-bedroom home in King Creek, NSW was not satisfied with the proposed kitchen design and sought the help of Designing Divas Interior Design. Following a review of the original layout, principal interior designer Michelle Burton agreed it was ‘conservative’ and suggested a redesign, which included the use of PGH bricks on the splashback.

In this innovative application, ‘Lagoon’ coloured glazed bricks from PGH injected a burst of colour inspiring the rest of the soft industrial themed design in the kitchen. Complementary coloured glass chips were mixed with the polished concrete floor to continue the colour theme.

The kitchen in the King Creek home also features hardwood (Merbau) timber detailing, recycled timber sleepers/posts and huge timber framed external cavity sliding glass doors. The industrial theme gets an additional boost with extra large light fittings. The impressive block of warm dark grey reconstituted veined stone and ultra modern fittings inject a sense of sophistication to the overall ambience.

The client was extremely happy with the design outcome, saying that the new kitchen completed their home.
