Paarhammer Windows & Doors won national recognition at the recent AWA Australian Windows Conference held on the Gold Coast.

Paarhammer won the award for ‘Best Use for Windows and Doors – Residential New Construction over $500,000’ category, and received a ‘Highly Commended in the Commercial New Construction over $5M’ category.

Paarhammer received the Residential Award for a project at Blairgowrie on the Mornington Peninsula. Built in an environmentally sensitive area on sand dunes in the middle of tea trees with the second highest bushfire rating, the home featured sustainable products as sought by the client, delivering very high energy efficiency and energy savings from 61% to 75%.

Paarhammer was ‘Highly Commended’ for their windows and doors at the Nishi Complex in Canberra. The client sought a solution that would help the mixed-use 16-floor building complex achieve an 8 star NaTHERS rating.

Paarhammer used high performance glazing especially designed for the cold climate in Canberra to reduce heat loss and improve thermal comfort while maximising daylight.
