OfficePace was engaged to provide a custom range of workstations along with several furnishings for the fitout of the new Bundaberg Regional Council office.

The Bundaberg Regional Council was relocating to a new office covering an area of 4000 square metres across three levels. The brief called for an open plan design instead of the traditional office layout often seen in a typical government facility.

OfficePace collaborated with IQ Constructions and TO Architect to create a contemporary office design that would still retain small elements of traditional work zones.

OfficePace was tasked with providing custom workstations designed to suit the client’s specifications. The custom workstations were paired with demountable partitions in a bright colour to break up the space into working zones and transition from a traditional working environment to a more collaborative and open plan workspace.

For the new fitout encompassing office space, executive areas, boardrooms and meeting rooms, collaborative areas and breakout spaces, OfficePace supplied 150 workstations, task chairs and monitor arms, as well as meeting tables, meeting chairs, furniture for breakout areas, soft seating, whiteboards and demountable partitioning, all worth a total of $800,000.

The use of a bright tone on the partitions that also matched the corporate colours introduced life into the office space. The fitout was completed in six weeks.
