Furniture and decorative products specialist Meizai introduces the 304 collection of lighting systems and planters from Bentu, an experimental design and architecture studio based in Shanghai.

Bentu’s 304 series of concrete lamps and planters is made from recycled building materials. The unique and architectural shape of the pendant lamp inspired the designers to create a planter using the exact same geometric shapes.

The collection was labelled 304 based on the number of sides each geometric shape has: 3, 0 and 4. All three planters from the collection feature a geometric shape corresponding mirror-like to the three pendants.

Launched at Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan 2013, Bentu’s architectural and contemporary lighting, furniture and accessories are crafted from recycled building materials to create modern and distinctive pieces. Each product demonstrates the potential of construction waste recycling and up-cycling.

Meizai is the exclusive distributor of Bentu in Australia and New Zealand.
