Providing a pedestrian bridge with a clear span of 36m parallel to Barrack Street, Heathcote for the city of Bendigo allowed Landmark Products to once again prove the versatility, simplicity and cost-effectiveness of its standard Landmark Products Murray truss bridges.
Adapting the standard bridge design to accommodate towers at each end enabled Landmark Products to use cable stays, increasing the clear span without a corresponding increase in steel member sizes.
The result is a simple, cost effective installation and an aesthetically appealing structure which does not dominate the surrounding landscape.
6.0m lead-on sections at either end ensure a coherent design aesthetic and incorporate the anchorage footing for the cables.
