After almost two years in the planning and months of construction work, the Equal Access Play Garden at Wollongong Botanic Gardens was officially opened recently.

The prominent part of the play garden is the viewing platform, a vantage point from which parents and children can see all the activities within the area and keep a watchful eye on play and feats of prowess by the youngsters.

Landmark Products  have worked with iScape Landscape Architects and Wollongong City Council in modifying and combining their standard K300 Peninsula shelters, K1162 Barrow boardwalk, and K1173 Lofty Viewing Platform to create a noticeable yet practical playground vantage point and shelter.

Extensive use of attractive timber cladding to various steel components blends with the overall aesthetic that the Wollongong City Council wanted to achieve in the garden.

The playground and associated structures have received good reviews from the local community and are a testament to the outcomes that can be achieved when specifiers avail themselves of Landmark Products’ decades of fabrication experience and high quality products.
