The Bungarribee Community Hub at Bungarribee, near Doonside, NSW has installed three galvanised water tanks to harvest rainwater off their roof and reduce their dependence on mains water. The council is contributing to water conservation by using the collected rainwater in the toilets.

Additionally, the Community Garden also located on the grounds has been developed and maintained in accordance with permaculture and organic gardening principles. The council uses six made-to-measure garden beds in a range of colours to a particular height to suit a variety of gardening needs.

Tankworks garden beds were supplied to the council as they were seeking garden beds that were large enough to hold edible plants. Tankworks garden beds are made with an internal food-grade polymer lining, making them suitable for the application.

The garden beds are also made to measure, allowing the council to tailor the product to their specific needs. The right height was also important to allow any person in a wheelchair, older people or people with back problems to do gardening without having to bend down too low.

Tankworks garden beds are available from Kingspan Water & Energy.
