Kingspan Insulation has received AIA accreditation for a new CPD seminar presentation on the subject of insulation in health and aged care facilities.
Researched and produced by Kingspan Insulation, the new CPD seminar titled ‘Insulation Systems for the Health and Aged Care Sector’ addresses the need for correct selection of building materials such as insulation when designing aged care facilities.
The rise in Australia’s ageing population is increasing pressure on existing aged care facilities with waiting lists for suitable accommodation continuing to grow. To address this demand-supply gap, several new purpose-built aged care facilities are being planned or are presently under construction.
Given the age and health conditions of occupants who are often ill, recovering or living permanently with chronic conditions, the correct selection of all building materials including insulation is, therefore, critical to both the performance of the building and the residents’ overall health and wellbeing.
The new CPD seminar presentation by Kingspan Insulation will enable participants to gain a clear understanding of the various insulation systems most appropriate for health and aged care projects, and the advantages and disadvantages of different insulation materials. They will also have the opportunity to apply what they have learnt about material selection and project specifications.
The one-hour presentation is tailored for building design professionals, and will include case studies of both completed projects and those under construction Australia-wide.
Kingspan Insulation is an AIA-accredited Refuel CPD Provider and the new CPD seminar is approved for one formal CPD point as part of AIA’s Refuel program.
This latest seminar is the sixth in the series of accredited formal CPDs from Kingspan Insulation.
The seminar series includes Insulation 101; Insulation Solutions: Walls & Floors; Section J & Insulation Solutions; Good, Better, Best Insulation Solutions for Roof, Wall and Underfloor; and Continuous Insulation: The First Consideration for Energy Efficient Building Envelopes.
