Kingspan Insulation announces that its Kooltherm K8 cavity board has achieved full CodeMark certification.

Kooltherm K8 cavity board is a high-performance rigid thermoset wall insulation product made with a fibre-free insulation core, and is CFC/HCFC-free, and compliant with the insulation standard AS/NZS 4859.1. The insulation core is sandwiched between layers of low-emissivity foil, which enhances overall performance and strengthens thermal resistance of any adjacent cavity.

The CodeMark certification will simplify compliance-related tasks for builders and specifiers, and also represents peace of mind for building owners and users who seek maximum thermal efficiency and comfort.

Kooltherm K8 cavity boards are available in thicknesses of 25mm or 40mm depending on the application, and are recommended for installation in double brick cavity walls or brick/block cavity walls.

Kooltherm K8 insulation boards not only reduce heat transference levels as measured by R-values but also deliver long-term reliable performance. As a rigid thermoset insulation product, Kooltherm K8 cavity boards retain their integrity without sagging or compression occurring over time while maintaining a clear cavity to resist moisture penetration.

The CodeMark certification scheme is the premier compliance assurance scheme pertaining to building products used in Australia. Managed by the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB), CodeMark offers the ultimate endorsement of a product’s quality, appropriateness to Australian conditions, and compliance with all relevant Standards.
