Kennards Hire  has added a new range of heavy electric breakers with increased hammering power to its hire equipment range.

Chosen as the standard at Kennards Hire, the electric breaker will become available across all hire centres as older models are retired.

Kennards’ new breaker offers 68 joules of hammering impact energy with minimal vibration, and can break up to six tonnes of concrete per hour.

Greg Carter, site supervisor for Garner’s Plumbing hired one of the breakers from Kennards Hire Drummoyne for work at the Gladesville Bridge Marina involving breaking up concrete up to 240mm thick, which was required to be done prior to putting in a new sewer line for a slipway upgrade.

Greg was looking for a tool with ‘a bit more beef’ and found it in Kennards’ new electric breaker. The workers found the new electric breaker to be a lot more effective and quicker than the electric hammers they had been using up until now.

In addition to the electric jackhammers, Kennards Hire also offers air breakers, hydraulic powered breakers and smaller electric models.

Hydraulic powered hammers have impact equivalent to a 33kg pneumatic model, and the power pack is more manageable than an air compressor.

Kennards operates 124 equipment hire centres around Australia, including a new outlet in Dubbo in regional NSW as well as a new specialist Kennards Concrete Care branch at Moorebank in south-western Sydney.
