Kennards Hire supplied mini earthmovers for a home project site with severely restricted access.
The building contractor, Dominic Arciuli of N & F Arciuli hired a variety of mini earthmovers from Kennards Hire including 500kg and 650kg capacity high lift, rubber tracked dumpers, a mini skidsteer loader and a one tonne excavator.
Hired from Kennards Hire Seven Hills, the mini excavators fitted through the 950mm wide front gateway and down a narrow passage to the worksite in the backyard.
Arciuli Stone designs and manufactures natural and manmade masonry for domestic and commercial use, in addition to having a building and landscaping arm. Dominic explains that they have been using Kennards Hire equipment for several years.
He used the mini excavators to take out 130 tonne of dirt and dig a 700mm x 700mm footing for a perimeter retaining wall. The contracting company also hired ground mats and temporary fencing.
The 500kg capacity dumper has a tipping height of 1400mm, sufficient for direct transfer to a skip or standard two-tonne truck, while the 650kg model tips to a height of 1.6m. Kennards Hire also offers an 800kg capacity model, as well as low-tip units and ride-on swivel dumpers in some areas.
