Kennards Hire supplied a rubber-tracked, high-tip mini dumper to help a building contracting remove soil, rock and bricks from a narrow passageway.
Modern Image Constructions carried out a 65m² architecturally designed two-storey addition at the rear of an inner-city cottage. Soil and rock from bulk and detailed excavation, as well as bricks from a demolished retaining wall had to be moved down an 850mm wide side passageway.
Measuring 760mm in width, the mini dumper hired from Kennards Hire Rozelle handled the challenge with ease. Site manager Nathan Holmes said that the width of the mini dumper allowed a little to spare on each side, enabling the work to be carried out.
The dumper was able to move about 85 tonnes of rubble. Though the rains had made the ground muddy, the dumper’s tracks made the removal easy.
