Kennards Hire  recently supplied a simple, two-piece aluminium scaffold as a work platform for a challenging home site.

Consisting of a fold-up frame and plank, Kwikscaf aluminium scaffolding can be transported in a panel van, carried by one man and assembled in seconds.

Building sub-contractor Wayne Scarrott, of Scarrott Builders, used the scaffold unit while resealing the edge of a lap pool at a harbour side home.

“With 80 steps down to the pool, I was looking for a fold-up scaffolding unit that was easy to carry and erect,” he said. “This one was perfect for the site.”

Kwikscaf provides a versatile 1.2 metre high work platform that is suitable for work on surfaces that are flat or have a small gradient.

Kennards also supplies Universal Scaffolding that is ideal for flat surfaces, uneven ground or stairs. It consists of just three pieces, and can be carried and erected by one man.

The height of the scaffold platform ranges from 0.5m to 1.7m and the base is 700mm by 1.8m. The scaffolding has a safe working load limit of 200kg.

Lockable castors are fitted to the end frames, and can be adjusted in 25mm increments to a maximum of 275mm.

This aluminium scaffolding is quick and easy to erect, and is ideal for applications that have narrow or limited access. It is also particularly good for getting through doorways.

Also available are standard aluminium scaffolding towers, in single or double platform widths.
