Kennards Hire has added numerous new 100mm (4 inch) chippers to its extensive lawn and garden equipment fleet.
The Australian-made, 14hp, trailer-mounted chippers offer excellent throughput, reliability and safety features.
Michael Heise, a school maintenance worker hired one of the chippers from Kennards Moorebank, but thought it might not be able to handle bigger branches. His doubts however were unfounded and he found that the chipper was able to process a lot of material, including big branches. Heise said that the mulch produced was an added bonus, as it could be spread around the grounds.
Larger chippers that can process green branches up to 225mm (9in) thick are also available for hire from Kennards.
Other equipment that can be hired from Kennards for clearing overgrown areas includes petrol and electric chainsaws and pole pruners, scrub cutters, slasher mowers and stump grinders.
