Kennards Hire Lift & Shift has added two new modular 300-tonne spreader beams to its product offering, expanding its equipment hire range to a wider and more diverse customer base.

Featuring a maximum width of 26 metres, the unit is 6,600kg when fully assembled, excluding shackles or rigging gear. While one unit is in Western Australia, the second unit is based in Queensland.

According to Andrew Lambert, General Manager, Kennards Hire Lift & Shift, the new spreader beams are the latest edition to the extensive range of bars and beams available from Kennards Hire Lift & Shift, spanning from 250kg to 300 tonnes.

The 300-tonne spreader beams are ideally suited to projects across the mining and oil and gas industries as well as major civil construction and infrastructure developments and shipping ports. Lambert explains that the availability of the units in WA and Queensland allows the company to send them to one of their nine specialist branches throughout Australia at very short notice.

The 300-tonne spreader beam is a highly versatile, multi-piece modular bar that comprises of sections varying from 500mm up to 6.0m, making it well-suited to a range of lifting solutions and industrial applications.

Lambert says one of the main benefits of hiring the unit is its cost-effectiveness, especially when customers need the additional lifting capacity on a project site for only a short period. By hiring the spreader beam, companies can completely negate the large capital expenditure as well as the continuing cost of warehousing and certification they would need to outlay for a single piece of equipment that will not be utilised all the time.
