Kennards Concrete Care  has expanded into Queensland, bringing a much wider range of high-quality, labour-saving equipment than previously could be hired.

The new outlet is operating from the high-profile Kennards Hire site at Springwood, in Brisbane’s south. All of Queensland will be serviced from the Springwood base. Kennards Concrete Care’s other hire centres are in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The new branch is stocked with a wide range of equipment to meet the most demanding jobs in concreting, involving surface preparation and repair, sawing, drilling and demolition.

The range includes concrete polishers, planers, core drills, grout pumps, jackhammer trolleys, and a ride-on profiler, which can remove 30-50mm of concrete per pass.

Angus Kennard, who founded Kennards Concrete Care five years ago, said the shortage of skilled labour in Queensland added to the value of this labour-saving equipment.

“For instance, the new heavy-duty 240 volt grinder is the most powerful of its kind on the market and four times faster than any other 240 volt grinder,” he said.

“This machine measures 480mm wide and with more than 150kg of grinding pressure. It is ideal in the floor preparation industry for the removal of stubborn coatings such as epoxies, glues and paints.”

The new Brisbane operation is managed by Brad Jones, who started the successful Victorian operation two and a half years ago and managed the Sydney branch before that.

Brad Jones, an expert in this field, has good experience in the hire industry and joined Kennards Concrete Care at the outset.
