A new ride-on grinder has been introduced by Kennards Concrete Care.

The Power Grinder 7500 can cover between 100 to 300 square metres an hour.

Extra power, weight and operator comfort combine to more than double the productivity of a three-phase machine.

Fatigue is reduced because the operator stands on the back, rather than walking behind.

Kennards Concrete Care says the Power Grinder 7500 is a flexible unit, which can be used for applications ranging from glue removal and concrete grinding to polishing concrete up to 5000 grit finish.

There is also a choice of wet or dry use, the latter carried out with a dust collector.

The Power Grinder consists of a specially developed grinding head attached to a diesel-powered mini loader. Hydraulic side shift and swivel allows grinding close to walls, corners and obstacles.

Power Grinder has a grinding width of 750mm (30in), and fully floating heads allow it to follow the contours of the floor and reach low spots.

Power Grinder also has spray jets and water feed for dust suppression, and the direct drive design removes the need for high maintenance planetary gear boxes, belt or pulley drives.

Kennards Concrete Care, a specialist division of the general equipment company Kennards Hire, has a full range of grinding and surface preparation equipment, with a machine for every job, depending on size, power and the application.
