Kennards Concrete Care has expanded into Western Australia, bringing a much wider range of specialist, labour-saving equipment than was ever previously available in the state.

Truckloads of new gear have been arriving in Perth to meet demanding jobs in concreting, involving surface preparation and repair, sawing, drilling, demolition and new concrete.

New equipment includes concrete polishers, planers, core drills, grout pumps, jackhammer trolleys, and a ride-on profiler, which can remove 30-50mm of concrete per pass.

According to Kennards Concrete Care, the scarcity of labour in Western Australia has added to the value of this labour-saving equipment. For instance, the new heavy-duty 240 volt grinder measures 480mm wide and with more than 150kg of grinding pressure. The new heavy-duty 240 volt grinder is ideal in the floor preparation industry for the removal of stubborn coatings such as epoxies, glues and paints.

Kennards Concrete Care now has specialist hire centres in three states, NSW, Victoria and Western Australia.   The new Perth operation is being run by Geoff Holtmeulen, who previously operated Concrete Equipment Hire.   It will be located at Belmont until a new, purpose-built hire centre is ready later this year. Geoff comes to the partnership with 15 years experience in equipment, diamond tooling and products.

With the extra resources at his disposal, he has the experience, knowledge and drive to promote the products offered by Kennards Concrete Care not only in his home state, but also in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

According to Kennards Concrete Care, the business emphasis would be not only on the hire of high quality equipment, but also on providing expert advice on products and tooling. Customers are offered an on site advice service and local delivery and freight to anywhere in WA or interstate.
