James Hardie Systems announces the acquisition of Ritek Wall Systems as part of the company’s strategy to expand their product offering into the growing high density construction segment. The Ritek Wall Systems business will operate through a company called James Hardie Systems Pty Ltd, which forms part of the James Hardie group and is headed by General Manager, Steven Terzian.

Mr Terzian explains that permanent formwork represents approximately 30 per cent of the medium to high density construction market. Describing the Ritek permanent formwork walling system as a quality product that enables the delivery of a durable finished wall, he adds that the speed of wall construction enabled by the Ritek system will allow their customers to optimise construction budgets and improve building timeframes.

James Hardie Systems will complement the premium Ritek wall system with an enhanced customer experience to deliver a leading permanent formwork product across the Australian market. The growth strategy will be supported by expanded sales and marketing teams: Kristy Harder has been appointed Marketing Manager and Bassem Francis is the new Finance Manager.

According to Mr Terzian, James Hardie has had a long term partnership with Ritek Wall Systems as the supplier of quality fibre cement products for the manufacture of Ritek’s permanent formwork walling systems. Following the acquisition, Ritek Wall Systems will benefit from James Hardie’s strong support network.

He adds that James Hardie Systems will continue to operate from the Cooroy manufacturing facility and serve their Australian customers.
