Linea weatherboard from James Hardie Australia was selected by the builder, Futureflip for the Brolga home project to ensure durability for the long term. The owners sought a forever home for their family and a secondary dwelling for their ageing parents.

Clean modern looks are preferred by new home buyers because they have a fresh feel and won’t date easily. Keeping this in mind, Futureflip chose Linea weatherboards for the Brolga project. The use of Linea 180mm weatherboards in a fresh, white colour palette helped create the stunning modern home with clean, sleek lines that epitomise modern architecture.

Different box forms using a variety of stacked boxes and elevated forms were integrated with no visible roofline and arranged so that the second dwelling within the home was cleverly hidden. When selecting the materials palette for this home, which was situated in close proximity to the beach, durability was the primary deciding factor.

James Hardie’s Linea 180mm weatherboards made from fibre cement were selected for the project, thanks to their high durability and resistance to damage from shrinking, swelling and cracking.
