Hyne Timber employees came together to raise a record amount for the
Movember fundraising campaign. Hyne Timber has been ranked in the top 100 in
the nation for its fundraising and mo growing efforts throughout Movember.
Forty-nine male employees across 11 Hyne Timber sites signed up to the
Hyne Timber Mo Bro Challenge team, collectively raising $12,896 so far. Hyne
Timber Manager for People and Risk, David Murtagh said he fully supported
Movember, in particular the opportunity to raise awareness about men’s health
issues.
According to Mr Murtagh, Movember is about getting men talking about
health issues, while raising funds and having some fun along the way. Never losing
sight of the purpose, the Hyne Timber Mo Bros circulated weekly ‘mogress’
reports around the company with fun photos along with a more serious message
about prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
Mr Murtagh concluded that raising $12,896 and ranking in the top 100
nationwide were an added bonus to the Movember campaign.
