Acoustic panels from the Troldtekt range by CSR Himmel were used to create a feature ceiling in the refurbished South Australian Government building, located in the picturesque Port Adelaide. Troldtekt Wood Wool panels were installed in Black, White and natural finishes to create a striking ceiling feature in this Government office building, which combines quiet open plan areas and discreet private offices.

Located north-west of the South Australian capital city of Adelaide, Port Adelaide has a rich history as an industrial harbour. As part of the state government’s efforts to transform the area into a vibrant and contemporary urban district, the Port Adelaide Offices, located along the waterfront and next to the iconic Birkenhead Bridge, will fast become a catalyst for this urban regeneration.

While a contemporary aesthetic was important, it was not the only consideration for this modern government building. Architectural firm Walter Brooke & Associates has paid tribute to the area’s historical character and industrial past in their design for the government office refurbishment. Troldtekt acoustic panels were specified to add a natural rustic warmth to complement Port's historical timber use.

Along with the performance and aesthetics of the direct fixed Troldtekt ceiling panels was a purposely made Bradford Insulation panel, helping achieve the high acoustic demands required from a modern office building.
