Sync bathroom pods by Hickory Group were designed and supplied for a Sydney-based master planned luxury retirement and aged care facility.
Located in Sydney’s Randwick, St Basil’s The Grove consists of 73 spacious retirement living apartments (ranging from one to three bedrooms), 20 one-bedroom serviced suites, 113 aged care beds and state-of-the-art communal facilities. The project was designed by PTW Architects for Momentum Project Group.
Sync was contracted to supply fit-for-purpose bathroom pods for the facility’s main wing (Building A), constructed by Deicorp. Building A featured 126 Sync bathrooms including four DDA compliant typologies to cater to different user needs and abilities, with some incorporating sliding doors for ease of access.
Sync supplied pods covering seven different design typologies in all, which included features such as recessed shaving cabinets with stone shelves, stone splashbacks, tiled floors and walls, and a combination of sliding and hinged doors.
