Hettich was honoured with the German Design Award – Special Mention 2017 by the German Design Council for its Sensys thin door hinge. The German Design Award goes to trend-setting products that stand out in the German and international design landscape.
The Sensys thin door hinge was awarded the German Design Award – Special Mention 2017 in the ‘Furniture’ category.
The Sensys thin door hinge has already won the iF Design Award 2016. Featuring an extremely shallow cup, the thin door hinge gives furniture makers maximum design flexibility and allows the use of thin core board panels from just 8mm in thickness with a design-defining surface application layer such as glass. Sensys hinges can also be used with thin solid fronts made of solid surface materials.
