Hafele Australia has supplied HAWA Aperto 60/GL sliding and stacking glass doors for installation at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.

NH Architecture and Woods Bagot specified these sliding and stacking doors for the exhibition centre project which involved the supply of the glass stacking doors for the six reception counters in the centre. All reception counter tops throughout the centre were set at a height 1050mm with a 850mm section specifically for disabled access.

The project brief specified that stacking system be lockable from the inside with a key with no obstructions to the countertop. This meant that the HAWA Aperto 60/GL sliding and stacking doors needed to be installed without a bottom channel, so Hafele supplied dust proof strikes to sit flush with the counter top, helping to lock the glass panels securely in position.

To ensure a minimal footprint when in the open position, Hafele used a combination of 90-degree and parallel parking bays to ensure the maximum amount of working area. Additionally, the recessed top track offers a seamless look when the glass stacking doors are open.
