Inspired by the Australian Outback, Gunnersen’s new DesignerVeneer range is a selection of 13 reconstituted timber veneers that brings the warmth of the great outdoors inside. The economical and sustainable decorative timber veneer boards are ideal for indoor use in vertical applications.
As durable and striking as the Australian timbers from which they draw their inspiration, DesignerVeneer panels also offer outstanding sustainability credentials. The veneer is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified and constructed using timber species sourced from responsibly managed forests, making it ideal for an increasingly environmentally conscious construction industry. DesignerVeneer is not only the most environmentally friendly use of timber, it also offers the end users peace of mind with an E0 MDF substrate meaning that it emits less than 0.5mg/L of formaldehyde, which is less than the current Australian standard low-pressure melamine (LPM) board for similar applications.
The DesignerVeneer range also offers design flexibility, with its cost efficiency, durability, and availability in a breadth of natural timber colours and textures making it suitable for indoor vertical uses such as doors and partitions. Its warm tones and clean, contemporary aesthetic lend it to residential and commercial applications alike, and ensure that it will complement interiors of any scale and style. Choose from a diverse selection of timbers inspired by Australian natives and including the sandy tones of Paperbark, Spinifix, and Lemon Myrtle alongside the cool, silver-tinged greys of Saltbush and Silver Cassia. For projects requiring a luxurious, warmer touch, the palette is rounded out by the rich, deep tones of Wattle Seed and Corkbush.
Thanks to its manufacture with superior, UV-resistant dyes, DesignerVeneer is as high performance as it is versatile and stylish. Though it will not warp or crack with UV exposure, it may change colour with prolonged exposure to light, akin to natural timber veneers. To minimise colour change over time, Gunnersen advise that a UV coating be applied to panels that regularly receive full sunlight.
All colours of DesignerVeneer are available with either a natural timber surface or a prefinished surface to reduce onsite installation time. Matching edging is available in raw unfinished veneer or ABS Prefinished Edging for panels of every colour, and is supplied in rolls of 50LM x 22mm in Crossband and Longband for grain continuity.
