Greenpainters  announces that funding is now available in South Australia for the subsidised GreenPainters training and accreditation course.

CITB and Zerowaste SA will fund 90% of the cost of the GreenPainters Accreditation Course in Sustainable Painting Practices allowing South Australian painters to become fully accredited GreenPainters at minimal cost.

Held in South Australia for the first time, training will be conducted in Adelaide, Mt Gambier and Port Augusta.

The GreenPainters Accreditation Course is a significant opportunity for leading painting contractors to get the training they will need for the future. Registrations are now open for the limited places available.

The one-day course will qualify painters to offer advice to consumers about sustainable paints, including:

  • Heat-reflective coatings to cut energy consumption
  • Low-VOC paints suitable for schools, hospitals and Green Star projects
  • Natural paints that use renewable resources

The course will also update contractors about:

  • EPA legislation
  • Waste and recycling
  • Green Building Council protocols
  • Eco labels and green marketing

Painting contractors who complete the course will receive a nationally recognised qualification from GreenPainters.

Painters implementing the strategies in their business will be GreenPainters-accredited, and receive a green marketing pack and website listing.
