Godfrey Hirst Australia created a bespoke carpet to complement a range of handcrafted furniture and homewares being displayed by ‘slow furniture’ specialists, Industria X at DenFair 2017.

Industria X specialises in creating highly functional and resilient pieces inspired by ex-government, mid-century Australian issue furniture for leading architects and interior designers.

At the DenFair show, Industria X owners Emma and Mark Cleine introduced their latest range, ‘Interior X’, a collection of indoor furniture, lighting and home fittings crafted from disparate materials and finishes in their signature utilitarian style.

Godfrey Hirst was engaged by the couple to create a custom carpet based on a design by the Industria X team. Their Designer Jet technology was used to produce a bespoke carpet, with the simple clean lines, geometric shapes and stunning colour palette of ‘Interior X’ serving as inspiration. The painted and powder coated colours in dusty blues, pinks, green-grey and terracotta were beautifully replicated with an incredible depth of colour in a stain resistant finish.

The Designer Jet technology employed by Godfrey Hirst allows any colour, pattern or motif to be authentically recreated using a variety of textures. The bespoke carpets can be made available in cut pile or loop pile options, or even a combination of both. Choose from customised carpets, carpet tiles, planks or two-metre wide rolls to fit your design requirements.
