Galvin Engineering recently collaborated with consulting engineers and staff to identify and supply appropriate hands free tapware solutions for the Intensive Care Unit, Women's Health and New Born Care, Brain Injury and Cancer Services of Westmead Hospital.

Infection control is a major concern in these areas, and Westmead Hospital had attempted to install numerous brands of electronic tapware in the past. However, their low performance reliability caused problems in the tough conditions of a hospital where many electrical machines operate at all hours of the day.

Galvin Engineering was then specified to work with the nursing staff, plumbing contractor, hospital electricians and electronic experts over a 6 to 12 month period to provide a failsafe hygienic and hands free tapware solution that would operate under all conditions.
