Galvin Engineering supplied their CliniLever range of tapware to the University of Queensland – Oral Health Centre to ensure hand hygiene and infection control across their dental clinics.
Designed by Cox Rayner in association with Hames Sharley and Riddell, the Oral Health Centre will provide key dental clinics for the care of adults and children, along with specialist clinics for paediatric dentistry, orthodontics, oral radiology, oral medicine, periodontics, endodontics, special needs dentistry, prosthodontics and other specialist dental services. The state-of-the-art dentistry clinics offer 174 dental chairs, 13 beds, 2 operating theatres, biomedical research laboratories, dental library, lecture and seminar rooms, simulation laboratories, and teaching and office space.
Since the dental health practitioners were in constant contact with their patients, it was imperative to maintain hand hygiene and infection control. Compliance with stringent hygiene guidelines was ensured by installing CliniLever tapware, which was found robust for the prevailing tough conditions in these environments.
