Sally Aplin is an artist working as an enamellist and sculptor, making two and three dimensional objects.

A background in painting and sculptural constructions informs her practice. She also uses concrete, plaster and enamelling processes.

Sally Aplin's work is sometimes representational with a shift in scale but it also consists of multiple abstract forms culled from drawing and accumulated experiences.

Sally Aplin's use of enamel on copper is direct and spontaneous as distinct from a traditional highly technical application.

Sally Aplin was born in England and lived there until 2001 when she returned to live in Sydney, having spent a few years here in the 1960s.
