Vitracore G2, a leading range of deemed-to-satisfy non-combustible aluminium composite panels from Fairview has been installed on the geometric façade of a new luxury development in Wantirna South, Victoria. The Kubix Apartments features an impressive 16,500 square metres of Vitracore G2 panels in a combination of Pure White and myriad colours.

Located on the corner of Burwood Highway and Stud Road, the Kubix Apartments development offers 238 apartments distributed across three buildings. Designed by CBG Architects, the development features 9000 square metres of Vitracore G2 installed during Stage 1, and a further 7500 square metres over Stages 2 and 3. Vitracore G2 Pure White was predominantly used on the façade, interspersed with Charcoal, Strong Sage, Rubis Red, Power Red, Bay Blue, Greystanes and Ocean Blue.

Vitracore G2 was supplied pre-assembled to the site as part of 27 prefabricated wall modules, each measuring approximately 14m x 3.5m in size. All the modules were clad in Vitracore G2 with the glazed window suites, balustrades and panel corking completed prior to erection on site and installed on the same day. The prefabricated wall modules were supplied to the site in seven semi-trailers.

Weatherproofed to BCA clause FP1.4, Vitracore G2 was the top choice for the development given its resistance to external conditions as well as its reputation as one of the most resilient and versatile cladding solutions available on the Australian market.
