Leading facade cladding manufacturers, Fairview has released a new custom graphic cladding solution designed to bring artwork to life as large scale décor print concepts for architectural projects.

The new VitraArt concept offers a broad range of formats and options, allowing buildings to create a unique identity through innovative designs.

The recently completed George Windsor Apartments designed by PACE architects in Windsor, Melbourne is the first project benefitting from a VitraArt installation. The apartment facade features an original artwork titled ‘frieze’ by local artist, Matthew Johnson.

Creating a custom graphic cladding solution is a simple process: The customer’s design is applied to either Vitrabond FR or Vitracore G2 (Australia’s leading deemed non-combustible aluminium composite panel) using the VitraArt custom cladding coating system. A UV resistant satin-clear fluoropolymer finish is added while a protective film helps prevent damage to the decorative surface when the panels are being machined and installed.

Artist Matthew Johnson explains that the project integrates art into architecture, bringing his artwork into reality.

VitraArt’s launch follows Fairview’s release of two new colour charts (Solid Colours and Metallic Colours) designed to help architects easily find their facade panel colour of choice or to simply help them find fresh inspiration for an upcoming project.
