Fairview announces the release of a new range of non-combustible ‘Deemed to Satisfy’ composite panels featuring a profiled aluminium core.
The new Vitracore Generation 2 (Vitracore G2) was developed in response to 2014’s much publicised Lacrosse building fire in Melbourne. Expected to be a game changer for the building and construction industry, the new Vitracore G2 non-combustible panel is tested to AS1530.1. Similar in appearance to traditional composite panels, the Vitracore G2, however, has a core constructed from aluminium rather than combustible material such as polyethylene or fire-rated material.
Fairview Managing Director Andrew Gillies explained that concerns regarding facade compliance within the industry led to the development of a non-combustible product that was not only complaint with the BCA without the limitations attached to traditional ACPs, but also offered the same aesthetic benefits as traditional ACP products.
Offering a cost-effective, Deemed to Satisfy solution to the market, Fairview’s Vitracore G2 is fabricated and installed the same way as traditional ACP, and utilises the PPG coating system to provide the same extensive colour range as the company’s Vitrabond product.
