Dr Jonathan Barnett Evening Series presents a new seminar on the issue of fire safety guidelines for building facades.
Titled ‘Best Practice for Facade Fire Safety Design’, the seminar will explore the current measures being taken in NSW to ensure that projects under construction as well as existing buildings in need of remedial work are safe and compliant.
Dr Jonathan Barnett’s hour-long presentation will cover:
- Compliance with the current BCA
- Approaching recladding projects
- Choosing the right product type for your project
A panel discussion will follow the presentation, with leading industry stakeholders sharing their expertise and experience on the topics for the evening. Panellists include representatives from Marsh (insurance), Kreisson (construction, engineering and property lawyers), and Fairview Architectural (facade suppliers).
The seminar will be held on Thursday, 26 September 2019 (5:00 pm – 7:00 pm AEST) at The University of Sydney, 1 Blackburn Circuit, Camperdown, NSW 2006.
