MAX double glazed framing systems from EDGE Architectural Glazing Systems were specified for external glazing on the new student accommodation tower at Victoria University.

Designed by architecture firm Nettleton Tribe, the Victoria University student accommodation building is a 12-storey tower located on Ballarat Road in Footscray. The 504-room accommodation project was designed and constructed to inspire activity and interaction among residents.

The new student accommodation provides designer but affordable housing without compromising the liveability factor. Built by ADCO Constructions, the building combines fins, shading and cladding elements, and window position variation to create a visually exciting tower exterior.

Window fabricator Mills Glass utilised MAX double glazed frames for all the external glazing areas of the student accommodation. MAX double glazed framing systems offer managed heat loss, increasing interior comfort levels in winter, while the external shading provides more comfortable interior temperatures during the summer months.
