Frameless glass louvres from EBSA Pty Ltd met the architect’s aesthetic and performance demands for a new home on the Noosa River. Designed by Clements Clarke Architects, the award-winning Noosa residence features EBSA’s LF550 glass louvres.

The architect sought a product that could achieve incredibly wide spans and become a feature of the home but these requirements couldn’t be met by a typical residential louvre system. Once introduced to EBSA’s LF550 frameless glass louvres, the architect made the louvres central to the overall design.

The LF550 louvres installed at the home measure almost 10m wide x 3m high, fronting the river in the form of two louvre systems. EBSA used 25.52mm glass to deliver the design with each blade spanning 2000mm wide x 600mm high.

The total extent of the LF550 louvres covers five bays at approximately 2000mm wide x 3000mm high, completely dwarfing the G12 BS louvres installed in the front of the house.

EBSA provided all of the automation including wind and rain sensors and remote control operation.
