Dyson ’s latest innovation made its way into one of Australia’s biggest public events, the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Visitors to the petting area and restrooms around the show were able to trial Dyson’s unique Airblade hand dryers; devices that literally blast hands dry in ten seconds with a current of air travelling at 640km/h.

James Mullen, Commercial Director of Dyson Australia, said the Dyson Airblade hand dryers received a positive response from visitors to the Easter Show.

‘I’ve noticed people washing their hands a second time just to re-dry them. Hygiene is always important, but particularly so in environments where the potential for bacteria to spread is high. What many people don’t know is that warm air hand dryers blow bacteria onto hands but the Dyson Airblade blasts hands dry with filtered, clean air.’

Dyson Airblade hand dryers were introduced to Australia in early 2008 and are available in over 16 countries. Not only have they captured the Australian public’s imagination, they have also led to the creation of a number of fan sites internationally. Dyson also launched the ‘Airblade Spotter’ application on Facebook so fans would have a central location where they could comment and tag Dyson Airblade hand dryer locations online.
