The Dulux Colour Awards, which celebrate the exceptional and inspired use of colour in architecture and interior design, announces 111 projects as finalists from a record number of entries in the 26 years of the Awards.

Entries from Australia and New Zealand included eight categories:

  • Commercial interior
  • Commercial extrerior
  • Single and Multi residential interior
  • Single and Multi-residential exterior
  • Sustainable interior
  • Student;and
  • Overall Grand Prix winner

An internal judging panel commented that this year’s entrants were of an extremely high calibre the importance of colour was spectacularly showcased by all. Entries explored new avenues and expressions of colour in innovative exciting ways, particularly in the Student category.

Winners will be announced at the Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne, on 28th March, 2012.All category winners, excluding the student winner, will receive a $1,500 cash prize and a trophy. The student winner will receive $1,000, a trophy and the opportunity to produce their own limited addition colour palette for Dulux. The overall Grand Prix winner will receive $2,000 plus a trip to an international design fair.
