Expo-goers got a first glimpse of the new powder coat range of colours from Dulux at the designEX exhibition this week.

The Electro™ palette of powder coat colours are designed to look like anodised finishes. Relatively easy to apply, Electro™ powder coatings can be applied to a wide variety of substrates including aluminium, steel and galvanised metal, with a variety of colours - 13 to be exact - to match different construction elements, fixtures and fittings.

"This is the first time that there’s ever been a true anodised representation of powder coat colours," says Michael Pearce, marketing manager of Powder and Industrial Coatings at Dulux.

"Electro™ is suitable for high rise commercial applications such as sun screens, louvres, balustrades and interior fit-outs like office furniture and display items," adds Pearce.

According to Dulux, unlike traditional anodic deposition finishes which are restricted to aluminium, Architects, Designers, and Colour Consultants will love the flexibility and freedom the new Electro™ range palette of colours offers.

Dulux Electro™ us ‘earth friendly’ as there are no liquid chemicals, solvents or caustic solutions used during the manufacturing process. Electro™ powder coatings are PVC free, are recyclable and have extremely low impact on humans, animals, and the environment.
