Two Efaflex SFT-S high speed folding doors were successfully installed and commissioned by DMF International at the recently upgraded Sydney City fire station for Fire & Rescue NSW.
The primary challenge for DMF was the requirement for reliable high speed doors that not only featured the latest technology but also matched the aesthetics of the heritage listed building, which was originally built in 1884.
DMF achieved these requirements through careful selection of matching heritage colours, providing a special satin finish to the glazed panels, and fixing additional horizontal mullions to match the original doors.
Efaflex SFT high speed folding doors have been extensively used in fire stations in the ACT and Victoria, providing a reliable door solution, allowing quick access for emergency vehicles, and ensuring the required security to the building.
These high speed doors have opening speeds of about 1.5m/sec and can be fitted with electric or pneumatic operation. Full safety sensors and remote activation options are also available.
