Sydney based company DMF International has introduced a new range of PVC strip curtains designed to open and close automatically with an accordion action.

The new auto BiFlex door is based on DMF’s static Visiflex PVC strip curtains, which have been installed in diverse applications at warehouses, laboratories, plant rooms, processing and manufacturing areas, freezers and cool rooms. The Visiflex is a proven range of PVC strip curtains suitable for preventing the entry of dust, temperature or noise into a working environment, especially with high traffic flow.

DMF has now taken the popular Visiflex range to a new level of functionality by creating an automated open/close system for the strip curtains.

DMF’s auto BiFlex doors offer several advantages in any industrial or commercial application. The automatic concertina opening of the PVC strips allows touch-free access for the traffic unlike static strips that typically drag over the product when pallet traffic is passing through the opening. Since contact with traffic is minimised in the BiFlex door, the PVC strips last longer.

Additionally, openings with a gantry rail passing through cannot accommodate PVC roll doors. The auto BiFlex door solves this issue by enabling the strips to be profiled around the gantry rail and providing a good seal while retaining automatic operation.

DMF’s BiFlex automated PVC strip curtains are custom made to size and can suit widths up to 8m and heights up to about 5m. PVC strips measure 300mm x 3mm with 100mm overlap. The BiFlex can be supplied with many types of activation sensors.
