Following a successful debut in the culture capital of Melbourne, Hotel Hospitality + Design (HHD) heads to Australia’s international hub of industry – Sydney.

In 2010, Diversified Exhibitions Australia launched the national trade expo – Hotel, Hospitality + Design with its key focus on design, fit out and refurbishment for the hotel, pub, resort, spa and hospitality venues.

The state of the Australian hospitality industry is vital to the ongoing stability of business travel and the tourism industry which contributes significantly to a healthy economy.

Refurbishment and redevelopment are two of the most important factors in keeping a hotel, motel or hospitality venue appealing and our industry up to date. In order to maintain the great reputation Australia’s hotel and hospitality industry has worked so hard to achieve, it is vital to maintain relevance to the modern day traveller, whether they be business, leisure, domestic or international.

Hotel Hospitality + Design 2011 will address all aspects of the refurbishment process in the hospitality arena and offer the knowledge, skills and know-how for Australian industry representatives to remain at the top of their game. Designers, architects, hotel owners and hospitality venue operators who wish to gain insight into the latest trends in technology, design and fit-out can turn to Hotel Hospitality + Design 2011 for inspiration and ideas.

Presenting more than 160 exhibitors, the expo will cover all aspects of the design and refurbishment process. HHD will be divided into eight areas of focus including;

  • Design
  • Stepping Out (Outdoor)
  • Hotel Essentials (soft and hard furnishings)
  • Resort and Spa (luxury goods)
  • Hotel Mechanics (operational equipment to sustainable solutions)
  • Behind the Scenes (finance and recruitment)
  • Play (entertainment systems); and
  • Technology

The Hotel Hospitality + Design exhibition will offer the hotel industry’s design and refurbishment needs in one location, and will also reveal cutting edge and exclusive new products. Seminars will once again include the Refurbishment Stage featuring internationally recognised design teams recreating a hotel bathroom and bedroom suite and the popular Hotel Room of the Future where the latest in hotel room systems and fittings will be on display.

Hotel Hospitality + Design 2011 will again partner with the 13th Annual Hotel Operations and Technology Show (HOT). Exhibition organisers Ted Horner and Bev Wood have created an exciting program for 2011 with international experts offering valuable insights into what the future holds for hotels. This year’s HOT program includes a timely address on environmental responsibility called the Sustainability Masterclass that will reveal key industry learnings from global markets. Speakers will include some of the most influential hoteliers and suppliers from around the world who will reveal their secrets of success.

Hotel Hospitality + Design is supported by the industry’s key associations:

  • The Australian Hotels Association (National and NSW)
  • The Hotel Motel and Accommodation Association; and
  • AAA Tourism

They have all pledged their allegiance to the Expo for a second year.

HHD is also pleased to announce the return of big industry suppliers, Philips and Dulux, who will sponsor this year’s ‘Hotel Room of the Future’ and the ‘Refurbishment Stage’ respectively.

Hotel Hospitality + Design 2011 will take place from 14th to 16th March 2011 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
