In response to industry demand for a one-stop holistic retail event, Diversified Exhibitions Australia has combined the strength of the popular Retail Technology Expo and Shopfit and Design Expo to form a large event for everything retail – 2007 Retail Expo Australasia.

The exhibition will take place 14–16 August 2007, Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

The newly rebranded event will feature a revamped zoning approach that encompasses eight specialised sectors of the retail industry: Shopfit and design, retail technology, security, retail advertising, business services, supply chain, in-store marketing and signage.

According to Diversified Exhibitions Australia, Australia’s $16bn retail industry is constantly evolving and businesses must review and update their retail technologies and solutions to maintain their competitive edge.

With something for every retailer, Retail Expo is sure to offer both exhibitors and visitors valuable opportunities to keep abreast of industry trends and learn about supplier options.

Industry heavyweights MYOB, Telstra, Sony and The Commonwealth Bank are among those who have already confirmed their involvement, with more than 200 further exhibitors expected to follow.

The trade only exhibition will again feature the successful Retail Skills Workshop program, renowned for offering expert industry advice and showcasing innovative products and services.

Exhibitors and visitors can be kept up to date with new Retail Expo Australasia news, by visiting its online news source, which will work in synergy with the exhibition, offering retailers and suppliers a vehicle for more effective communication.

The National Retail Forum, a leading retail conference, will be held in conjunction with Retail Expo Australasia, and will feature industry heavyweights Bernie Brookes, CEO, Myer; Murray Chenery, General Manager, Target Australia; and Trevor Mason, Director, LetsShop.com.
