Situated in a high profile location in St Kilda, neighbouring Luna Park and the Palais Theatre, 30 The Esplanade, is a new mixed use development that incorporates 12 apartments, a penthouse, rooftop terraces, 2 restaurants and an underground carpark.
The building is conceived as two discrete entities; a rectangular form that integrates the building with the adjacent terrace typology and the remainder of the building, which sweeps around the corner of the esplanade, providing an active link with the Acland Street intersection.
The curved composition will incorporate a sweeping façade, which responds to the curved edge of the site. The decorative laminated glass façade, available from Digiglass , has been installed at The Esplanade.
The facade has been designed as a piece of urban art, with a graphic interlayer bonded into the glazing system providing an ideal visual presence on this prominent St Kilda corner.
