Leading storage and materials handling specialist, Dexion has recently signed a Joint Business Development Partnership (JBDP) with Unilever.

The partnership follows a close association between the two companies for three years during which Dexion supplied a storage solution for a new mega distribution centre in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Competing with seven other racking providers, Dexion’s approach was to deliver a solution that stepped outside the box to support Unilever’s growth ambitions.

The JBDP will see Dexion and Unilever working closely together to achieve a number of aspirational goals, including growing their mutual businesses, compressing project lead times and efficiently managing costs.

Dexion has already commenced exploring joint cooperation opportunities with Unilever’s global teams in supply chain, logistics and procurement.

Dexion’s CEO, Paul O’Keefe notes that the partnership is a great example of their business capabilities. Dexion has hit the ground running as it begins to work closely with Unilever in building its supply chain capacity, not only in terms of plant, but also people and systems.
