Vogl plasterboard from Decor Systems was installed throughout the classrooms at the O’Connell Street Public School in Parramatta NSW.

Designed by architecture firm TZG Architects and built by Lipman, the project involved the adaptive re-use of the buildings on the site of the Old Kings School. The new primary school, known as the O’Connell Street Public School, has been designed to accommodate 1000 students, and will be the largest public commissioned primary school in NSW.

TZG Architects used Vogl plasterboard throughout the classrooms to address the acoustic needs of the interior spaces. Bright, cheerful and bold colours have been used to define space within the space, keeping the end users – the primary school students – in mind.
