DECO traces its roots to a tiny town called Braemar in the New South Wales Southern Highlands. Beginning operations in 2004 with just five employees under the brand name ‘Deco’, the company owned by the Doonan family pioneered sublimation technology on aluminium using Australia's first photo imaging machine.

Though other woodgrain finishes on metal have since appeared on the market, DECO has always stayed at the forefront by introducing natural textured finishes and extending the range to 24 different timber finishes to keep up with trends.

Deco simultaneously developed a broad network of Australian distributors across the country covering Perth, Darwin and Far North Queensland. The company also sourced a reliable supply of Australian aluminium from Capral Aluminium, and found an Australian owned and operated powder coating specialist in Vertikote.

As business expanded, Deco moved into bigger premises in Moorebank in Sydney’s South Western suburbs. The team has grown to about 35 staff, many drawn from the local area, with a few team members still making the commute from the Southern Highlands, reflecting their passion for the business.

Specialising in super durable decorative finishes on aluminium, DECO is 100% Australian made, owned and operated, and co-owned by Australian company Nepean Engineering.
